Campaign Story

We are a family consisting of myself, my partner, and multiple generations on each side. For various reasons, each and every one of our siblings and cousins have foregone the pursuit of children. I did not realize until my late 30s, that bringing a child into this family is something I longed to do. The excitement and hope of easily and quickly becoming pregnant the first time, was soon complicated by the grief and confusion of subsequent loss.  Since then I have experienced several more losses and come to understand the brutality, vulnerability, and pain, this journey can entail. My age is the only thing pointed to as the cause of the losses, although I had a normal genetic work-up on the most recent pregnancy-no heartbeat at a second ultra sound. With time running out, I am told trying IVF with my own eggs is still a potentially viable option, and the best option. Despite this family being filled with love, being growers of gardens, fishers of the sea, tellers of stories, and carers for all, who would delight in the opportunity to raise a beloved child, there are not the financial resources available to cover treatments, and Wa state does not yet require insurance to cover IVF. I am asking for help to achieve a least a singe cycle of freeze all IVF, although a having the means to cover multiple cycles would be ideal. I thank you for your time reading this, and for the hope this opportunity brings.
